Weeks 533 Crane Barge

Working as the capital projects engineer for Weeks Marine Inc, my main assignment was working as assistant engineer to the project manager for the the buildout of the famous Weeks 533 Crane, tracking progress, budgets, and coordinating all responsible parties.

I was directly responsible for preparation and installation of the crane's complex mooring arrangement, directing labor and prepping componenets both at the Jersey City Yard and Brooklyn Navy Yard. I acquired most of the materials, wrote most of the  work orders, and assisted with directing labor on this capital project. Additionally, I oversaw the schedule and the 5 million dollar budget for the crane buildout which we completed between January and July of 2015.  This included jacking the revolving crane up on trucks and rolling it from one barge to another. This was done in preparation for sending the crane to Block Island for the installation of wind turbines for an offshore windfarm.
