Eric Thompson

During most of 2016 I worked on the new Midtown Tunnel between Portsmouth and Norfolk, Va. I have a history in construction but this job presented quite a few firsts and challenges for me. Foremost was this being my first real management experience. I have managed people before but It was always indirectly. On this job, I was in charge of two crews and served as Superintendent for night shift work in the tunnel. 

Secondly, this was my first time working on a project like this. My construction experience previously was factories and shipyards. Managing the Demolition and wall panelling of a mile-long immersed-tube tunnel required me to play alot of catch up in short span of time.
