    Ever since the I first saw the opening to the Jetson's, I've had mild obsession with Hovercrafts. 

  Back in high school I used to make small hover-crafts powered with leaf blower engines. Aside from the the propeller, all the materials I used were left overs from my Dad's jobs. I found them around the yard. I managed to achieve limited flotation effect on smooth surfaces with a lawn mower engine. I did not  install a drive system due to weight issues.
